Wonderful show yesterday evening. All the cast was very good, lively audience and it was especially nice to meet with Nic and Maggie again!
Let me talk about the audience first. I am often complaining about the audience but yesterday everything was just fine. Silent during the pieces and lively when clapping. There was even silence when the curtain came down nearly up to the very end. On Thursday the clapping sat in before Michael had his line. Standing ovations at the end.
Last time I had seen Dean was in March. He was good at that time but sometimes I had the impression the lines were delivered a bit to fast. Yesterday he was brilliant. Very good timing, his acting is fabulous, I think he has the best voice and his dancing is outstanding. Would love to see him again!
Romy as grandma was wonderful. There was something special yesterday during the scene when the letter arrived. Tony is shooing Dad and Dad is shooing Grandma. Normally then she turns around shooing nobody. Yesterday she gave Dad the finger! What a laugh!
I am very much looking forward to the next shows!
