It has been a while since my last time at BETM. Had not seen the new cast yet, I don’t even know their names. It was the new Mrs. W and Dad yesterday. I loved Mrs. W: a very good actress and a good singer with a slightly new interpretation of the role. Dad is also a good actor but does not really fit to my imagination of the father.
The highlight of the show was definiert Ryan again. His acting and dancing is exceptional! He is the reason why Angry Dance is called angry. Ryan is loud, angry, and feels and dances every beat of the music and even interacts with the audience after the music has finished. Dream Ballet with Barneby was perfect, their moves in absolute harmony. Longest applause I have witnessed after that song. Electricity was fabulous. I just love the dynamics of a street Billy Electricity and Ryan’s especially. This alone is worth a trip to London.
Yesterdays Michael was Joe. He was brillant, too! Together they were a perfect couple and obviously had much fun on stage.
It was good to have had a pause from the show. So I enjoyed every single minute of it.
